Paradise Beach Cozumel Port Day Review

Paradise Beach Club in Cozumel, Mexico

Cozumel, Mexico, is a favorite stop for many cruise itineraries, and it’s easy to see why. With its pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant culture, it offers something for everyone. One of the standout destinations on this beautiful island is Paradise Beach, a family-friendly spot that promises a day of relaxation, adventure, and fun. They have two day pass options you can choose from. You can buy a day pass per person for around $68 and includes food, beach access, pool access, towels, etc. OR you can pay $15 al la carte at the door and includes just the pool and beach access. (We did this option on our last cruise, and it worked out great!) Here’s a glimpse into what a day at Paradise Beach looks like for cruise travelers.

Getting to Paradise Beach

Once your cruise ship docks in Cozumel, getting to Paradise Beach is a breeze. Located just a 15-minute taxi ride from the port, it’s easily accessible and affordable. Taxis are readily available near the cruise terminal, and the ride offers scenic views of Cozumel’s coastline. The entrance fee is budget-friendly, with options for a basic entry or an all-inclusive package. For those with small children, it’s beneficial to have them sit on your lap and put the seat belt around both of you, since car seats aren’t required and you most likely won’t drag it on and off the ship with you. The taxi drivers drive pretty fast, but the drive is short!

The Beach Experience

Paradise Beach lives up to its name with soft, white sand and turquoise waters. Lounge chairs and umbrellas are plentiful, so you can find the perfect spot to unwind. The staff is attentive and will set up your seating to ensure maximum comfort. Whether you want to soak up the sun or relax under the shade, the beach offers a tranquil setting for all.

Water Activities

For those who love adventure, Paradise Beach has an array of water activities to enjoy. The inflatable water park is a hit with kids and adults alike, featuring slides, trampolines, and climbing structures. Snorkeling gear, paddleboards, and kayaks are also available for rent, allowing you to explore the vibrant marine life just offshore.

Poolside Fun

In addition to the beach, Paradise Beach boasts a massive heated pool surrounded by lush palm trees. The pool area includes a swim-up bar where you can sip on tropical cocktails while cooling off in the water. With plenty of seating options around the pool, it’s a great alternative for families or those who prefer freshwater over saltwater.

Delicious Dining Options

No day at Paradise Beach is complete without indulging in the delicious food and drinks. The menu features a variety of Mexican and international dishes, from fresh guacamole and tacos to burgers and seafood platters. The all-inclusive package includes unlimited food and drinks, ensuring you stay refreshed and satisfied throughout the day. Don’t miss trying a classic margarita or a refreshing piña colada!

Family-Friendly Atmosphere

Paradise Beach is designed with families in mind. The shallow waters and inflatable water park make it a safe and entertaining spot for kids, while parents can relax knowing their little ones are having fun in a secure environment. The staff is friendly and accommodating, adding to the welcoming atmosphere.

Tips for Your Visit To Paradise Beach

  1. Arrive Early: To secure the best lounge chairs and beat the crowds, plan to arrive early.
  2. Bring Your Own Towels: (cruise ship offers these on the way out): We made the mistake of not bringing any and they tried to charge us $45 for one towel. Bring your own!
  3. Bring Cash: While credit cards are accepted, having cash for taxis and tips is convenient.
  4. Sunscreen and Hats: The Mexican sun can be intense, so pack plenty of sunscreen and wear a hat for extra protection.
  5. Bring Extra Clothes: Bring a change of clothes so you don’t have to ride in a taxi in wet swimsuits
  6. Book Ahead: If you’re traveling during peak season, consider booking your Paradise Beach package in advance to ensure availability.

Conclusion

A day at Paradise Beach in Cozumel is the perfect way to unwind and enjoy the best of what this stunning island has to offer. Whether you’re looking for relaxation, adventure, or quality family time, this beach club has it all. As you sail away from Cozumel, you’ll carry with you memories of a truly paradise-like experience
